The series originally aired from April 4 to October 3, 1. No sooner is he out of sight than Cinderella's stepmother has unceremoniously moved her two own daughters into Cinderella's room, thrown out her things, handed her a servant's dress, and put her to brutal harsh menial labor. The series covers Cinderella's trials and tribulations as she tries to adapt to her new life while suffering the abuse of her stepmother and her two stepsisters. All the while, her fairy godmother, Paulette, subtly watches her and tries to influence events to fix Cinderella's life without her noticing. One of her first acts in this is to grant several of the animals of the house the power of speech, thus giving Cinderella companions in her dog Patch, a pair of mice named Chuchu and Bingo, and a bird named Pappy. The animals provide her company as well as help with her chores. The biggest twist in the series is that Cinderella meets her Prince Charming early - except here he's the roguish Prince Charles, who has a habit of sneaking out of the castle and meets Cinderella by accident while disguised as a commoner. The two have a few misunderstandings before becoming friends and start having adventures together. Meanwhile, the villainous Duke Zaral plots against the royal family throughout the story, at times working Cinderella into his plots and machinations. The series eventually culminates in the ball in which the fairy tale ends, but with its own unique twist. Cinderella came from a noble family. She is the only daughter of a wealthy and widower duke who has remarried to provide her with a stepmother and two stepsisters. ![]() Cinderella's mother died due to illness when she was still a young girl, leaving her with a doll, favorite dress, and a pair of glass slippers. The story begins with the departure of the father of Cinderella for a long business trip. Unfortunately, she was then left alone with her stepmother and her two stepsisters, Catherine and Jeanne, who are bitterly envious of her beauty. Afterwards, things change for Cinderella; she ends up handling all the chores in the house, and is forced to live in a small room in the attic of the villa. Fortunately, Paulette, her Fairy godmother, watched over her, secretly removing troubles that Cinderella faced in various situations as well as giving her the gift of being able to communicate with animals. Cinderella soon befriended four little friends who aided her whenever possible; Patch, her dog, Chuchu and Bingo, two clever little mice and a little bird named Pappy. During one of the few occasions when Cinderella is able to go into town (she is virtually segregated at home to cope with household chores, while her two stepsisters are out having fun), she meets a strange young man who only identifies himself to have a connection with the prince of Emerald Castle. Cinderella initially does not trust him and calls him a fibber repeatedly. However, Cinderella does not know this guy is none other than Prince Charles himself, who, unwilling to stay at the castle to take lessons from his tutor, sometimes runs under the disguise of Alex, his page and great friend. This marks the beginning of many adventures, including hunting, discovering enchantments, betrayal and conspiracies of the palace that feature the Prince (almost always in disguise), Cinderella and her friends, and her stepmother (who hopes to marry one of her two daughters to Prince Charles). But in the end, Cinderella discovers the true identity of the boy to whom she called a liar several times and is distraught and desperate; how will she make up for what she said to the Prince? Meanwhile, the King is organizing a big royal ball, to which all the unmarried girls of the area are invited, so that his son Charles can find a woman to marry. The stepmother and the two stepsisters were angry that Cinderella was also invited. After Cinderella helped her two stepsisters get ready for the ball, she quickly changed her clothes, wearing her deceased mother's dress. Eventually, the stepmother insists it was an insult and forbid her to go. Then, her stepmother and her two stepsisters tore up her invitation. The Fairy Godmother, Paulette, always ready to help Cinderella with her magic wand gives her a beautiful gown with the beautiful glass slippers; Cinderella can now go to the ball, but must return before midnight hour when the magic is completed. This time, Cinderella is to be incognito at the ball; Prince Charles does not recognize that the beautiful princess who appeared out of nowhere was the companion of many adventures. But, come midnight, Cinderella is forced to flee, losing a shoe on the staircase of the building. The Prince was fascinated by the mysterious princess, desperately searching house to house to find her. It was proclaimed that the person whose foot fit into the shoe would become the bride of the Prince. And thus after many difficulties, Cinderella was proved to be that girl and was brought to the palace. On the day of the marriage, Duke Zaral had something else in mind. He gave poison to the Prince in his drink and kidnapped Cinderella. He took her to top of the Clock Tower and forced the King, Charles' father, to give up his kingdom in lieu of Cinderella since his son was no more. Suddenly Prince Charles, who did not really die, appeared with the palace guards. He explained that he had already known about Zaral's plan and acted accordingly. A fierce battle ensued between Zaral and the Prince. At last Zaral fell from the Clock Tower. Cinderella and Prince Charles were married and lived happily ever after. Maria Kawamura as Cinderella. Masami Kikuchi as Prince Charles. Toshiko Sawada as Cinderella's Stepmother. Keiko Konno as Catherine, Cinderella's first stepsister. Akiko Matsukuma as Jeanne, Cinderella's second stepsister. Yuuko Mita as Paulette, the Fairy Godmother. Ken Narita as Alex, the Prince's best friend. Tomohiro Tsuboi as Bingo, the male mice. Yayoi Nakazawa as Chuchu, the female mice. Tsutomu Tsuji as Wanda/Patch, the dog. Aki Matsushita as Pappy, the bird. Tamao Hayashi as Misha, the cat. Akemi Okamura as Isabelle, the Prince Charles's fianc. She is banished to the attic, and then forced to do the menial chores of the household while her stepmother and stepsisters are out enjoying themselves. Luckily, Cinderella is assisted by her little animal friends: Patch, an appealing puppy, Chuchu and Bingo, two clever little mice and a little bird named Pappy. Cinderella follows them to the city to see their show while her pets assure her to do all the house work. She promises to return by the time her stepmother and her two stepsisters come back. While returning home she crosses paths with a young man who chases her up to the river. He returns her the key which had fallen in their encounter. The young man (prince Charles) reveals that he is the fencing partner of the Prince, which Cinderella finds hard to believe. Jeanne overhears the conversation, after which her stepmother orders her to invite him as a guest the next day. While searching she learns that Charles is not the page at all. She thinks he is just a liar and avoids him. On her way home, Cinderella’s pets remind her that her stepmother has ordered to come positively with the page. As her situation worsens, Paulette, the fairy godmother, comes to the rescue using her magic to change a horse into Charles. Cinderella hurries home with the Charles, but soon after they get there, the spell wears off and the prince turns back into the horse. Scared of the horse, Cinderella's stepmother ties a carrot to the back of Cinderella's apron and sends her off running to the town with the mad horse chasing her. Charles saves her from this chaos and reveals his true name- and Cinderella tells him hers in return. However, when they then arrive in the middle of the woods, a storm breaks and a sudden gust of wind blows Jeanne’s hat off her head. Cinderella and Jeanne attempt to catch the hat but they fail. As Jeanne wanders about in the bushes, she is mistaken for a bear by Charles and Alex; in the nick of time, Cinderella finds Jeanne saving her from being shot as a bear. The prince realizes then that Cinderella is the same girl he met in the city. Cinderella is caught instead, however, because Charles runs off with the grapes, and suffers a set- up for downfall by her stepmother. However, Charles hears about Cinderella's plight and confesses, thus salvaging Cinderella's reputation. Cinderella's stepmother asks Cinderella to fetch the fortune teller but when the fortune teller asks for payment the stepmother gives away Cinderella's mother's doll. Cinderella goes out to find the fortune teller and ask it back but instead she discovers his secret- though he actually can see the future at times- he is only a boy who needs money. In the end the boy (Yan) gives her back her doll and they become friends. He also reads into her future and sees her in a splendid ball gown, and, though not revealing any specific details, tells her that she has the brightest future he's ever seen. Cinderella meets a talented girl called Mary, but Mary has stage fright. While wandering through the town, Cinderella tries to think of ways to help Mary when she bumps into Charles. She takes Charles to where Mary is practicing and tells her to pretend he's Prince Charles, if she can perform in front of him then she will get over her stage fright. Charles tells her about a special ritual the prince does when he gets nervous, Mary does this too, and performs with success. Prince Charles learns that two of his teachers have been replaced because they were sick and old; Alex then finds out that their tutor was fired. Charles chases Zaral out of the palace because he suspects something. Cinderella sees that Charles is chasing Zaral and decides to follow. List of Beyblade characters - Wikipedia. This list of Beyblade characters describes characters from the original anime and manga series and its related media, as well as the Metal Fusion and Shogun Steel sagas. Bladebreakers. The team includes Tyson Granger, Kai, Max Tate, Ray, Kenny, Daichi, Hilary and Tyson's older brother Hiro. During G- Revolution, the team undergoes two new name changes: the BBA Revolution, and then later G- Revolutions. Tyson Granger. His trademark features are his wing- like bangs, his small mullet, his brown eyes, and the baseball cap he always wears backwards. His father is an archaeologist who is usually away on business, and his mother died at an early age. Tyson's older brother, Hiro, also not doing well closely with their love for father, leaving Tyson to live with his grandfather; his lone adult figure. Etymology: the surname . At the final stage of the Championships, the overwhelming power of his opponent, the Demolition Boys' Tala, sinks both Bladers into a world of despair that is encapsulated in ice. Tyson manages to pull off the win as the only Blader who can smile and just enjoy the game; an unappreciated talent. In Beyblade V- Force, Tyson's Dragoon Bit- Beast is targeted by a group of scientists known as . The pressure causes the World Champion to enter a slump; he fails to call out Dragoon numerous times and struggles with mastering the new MG Core system. It is only after rigorous training and facing strong opponents such as Kane, Ozuma, and Zeo that Tyson overcomes this. In Beyblade G- Revolution, The Bladebreakers do not compete in the World Championships as Tyson's team falls apart; one after another joining rival teams for a chance to challenge Tyson themselves. This forces Tyson to find a new partner in a young, wild Blader named Daichi, who Tyson can't seem to stop fighting with. Furthermore, the pressures of being a two- time champion take an emotional toll on him, especially when his brother and coach, Hiro, benches him for the match against the Blitzkrieg Boys. But after much encouragement and criticism from his old team members and learning to trust Daichi, Tyson pulls off a third consecutive win for the title of World Champion. Soon after, the BEGA League is set up, and Tyson believes he can begin a professional Beyblading career, but not after learning the mastermind behind the league is Boris Balkov, and witnessing Tala's brutal defeat against BEGA ace Garland. Tyson challenges Boris to a Justice 5 match, which he agrees to. However, without a fifth member in play, Tyson attempts to battle two opponents himself until Kai re- emerges. He takes on Garland's Apollon and engages in the fierce tiebreaker against Brooklyn and his Zeus, both times achieving stunning victories and displaying an inspiring Beyblade spirit to all of BEGA. After trouncing Boris's evil ambitions, Tyson and Kai take each other on in a field, excited to immerse themselves in Beyblade's purity. Kai Hiwatari. It is of Celtic origin. The first character of his surname 'Hi' is an Original Japanese Kanji for Fire, derived from Chinese, pronounced as 'Hua'. The second character of his surname 'Watari' means 'to ferry or Sail' in Chinese, in total it means 'Sail on Fire'. The etymology goes harmoniously with his fiery Bit- Beast Dranzer, which is a Phoenix, immortal Fire- Bird. Kai (. His trademark features are his wing- like bangs, his two- tone hair with gray in the front and black in the back, and his shark fin face paint. He was originally the leader of the notorious Beyblade street gang, the Blade Sharks, despite being Voltaire's grandson, who himself was president of the military enterprise Biovolt. Kai has a tendency to be cold towards others, but his discipline has allowed him to master Beyblading at the highest level. He is never too keen on teamwork or helping others, a sharp contrast with Tyson's friendly- rooted personality. His level of pride as a Beyblader and a person has been known to rankle others; particularly Johnny Mc. Gregor when Kai initially refuses his challenge. He is the eldest of the group and probably has the longest beyblade history. Kai grew up in the Balkov Abbey in Russia, which was owned by Voltaire, and he subsequently lost his memories of the time due to the influence of Black Dranzer. He returned to his grandfather's side at the tournament finals in Russia, now with enough strength and skill to control Black Dranzer. It was only after Tyson's use of the original Dranzer against Kai at Lake Baikal was he able to reconcile with the Bladebreakers. Voltaire offers Kai one last chance to aid him, with the help of Black Dranzer's Bit Chip, but Kai ultimately decides to solely battle with Dranzer. Kai loses the subsequent match against Spencer, but he was proud to no longer be Voltaire's puppet. In Beyblade V- Force, Kai temporarily enrolls into the prestigious Whitney Prep School, where he meets Wyatt Smithright, an underclassman and long- time admirer of Kai. Kai's passion for Beyblading has died down, but meeting Wyatt and being the only Bladebreaker to tie his match against the Saint Shields reinvigorated him. Wyatt is utilized by Team Psykick in an attempt to steal Dranzer, but ends up severely crippled in the process. This results in Kai experiencing hallucinations during his battle with Goki, but encouragement from Tyson, Hilary, and Goki's loud boasting gave Kai the strength to pull of a splendid victory for his friend. In Beyblade G- Revolution, Kai is undecided on which path he should choose during the World Championships. After seeing Max and Ray defect the Bladebreakers, he ultimately decides to enter the tournament as a member of the Blitzkrieg Boys. With his usual high skill level, he rarely experiences a loss and has somehow even disciplined himself further. When going up against BBA Revolution, Kai intentionally loses his match against Daichi; disappointed that he would not be facing Tyson. He finally gets that exhilarating battle in the final rounds, but once again comes up short against his oldest rival. When the BEGA League accepts Tyson's challenge for a Justice 5 match, Kai sides with BEGA in an attempt to challenge Tyson again. However, his hopes are dashed after a crushing defeat by BEGA's prodigy, Brooklyn, which leaves Kai a broken man. His fighting spirit was put to the test by F- Dynasty's coach, Romero, who needed Kai to master his new Dranzer MS that had been left by Tala's bedside at the hospital. Kai manages to recover and compete as the fifth member of G- Revolutions. Once again, he faces off against Brooklyn, and despite suffering severe injuries, he continued to press on until a career- defining turn- around victory is secured with a final attack from Dranzer. He walks away satisfied with the results, even at the cost of Dranzer exhausting all of its power and shattering, along with collapsing himself. Kai returns for Tyson's and Brooklyn's final battle to give words of encouragement. When all is said and done, Kai finds himself, and a newly repaired Dranzer, in a battle with Tyson; simple, back- to- basics Beyblading. Max Tate. He is voiced by Ai Orikasa in the Japanese version and Gage Knox in the North American version. He is like a brother to Tyson and loves to laugh at whatever life throws at him. Max is a highly skilled beyblader specializing in a defensive style. He lives with his dad, who runs a local hobby shop specializing in beyblades, and his mother, Judy, is a research scientist at a top- secret BBA facility and coaches the American beyblade team the All Starz. After the end of the Beyblade World Championships, Max moves back to America with his mother to help her with beyblade research. Etymology: the name 'Max' can be an abbreviation of 'Maxium' and the surname 'Mizuhara' can be broken into two Kanjis 'Mizu' and 'Hara' which respectively means 'Water' and 'Raw or Original'. Max uses four beyblades in Season 1: Draciel Max, Draciel Metal Ball, Draciel Shield and Draciel Fortess. He has three beyblades in Season 2: Draciel Fortress, Draciel Viper and Draciel Viper 2. In Season 3, his beyblades are: Draciel Viper 2, Draciel Gravity, and Draciel Metal Shield. Ray Kon. In the Japanese versions, his given name is often written in katakana as . Many comparatives can be made between his personality and the metaphysical concept of yin and yang, of which he appropriately wears the symbol, the Taijitu. Ray's beyblades and their attacks in this season are Driger Slash (Tiger Claw) and Driger Fang (Tiger Fang). In the second season, he uses Driger Vulcan and Driger Vulcan 2 (Vulcan Power Claw). He uses Driger Gatling (Gatling Claw), and Driger Metal Slash (Thunder Slash) in the third season. In the last chapter of the Beyblade manga, Ray is married to Mariah Wong, and they have a daughter together. Kenny is known in the original Japanese version as Professor (. He is voiced by Houko Kuwashima in the Japanese version, and Alex Hood in the English dub. In the Japanese version, his real name, Manabu Saien (. Kenny created the HMS series in the anime . This is, for the first two seasons, the sole reason for his involvement in the Bladebreakers team. However, in G- Revolution, Kenny begins to come into his own as a blader, and becomes an official competing member of the team upon the departure of Max and Ray from the Bladebreakers. In the English dub of the first two seasons of the anime, Kenny's laptop has a female bit- beast inside, called Dizzi, who was added to the show in replacement of Kenny's normal laptop screen. Hilary Tachibana, known as Hiromi Tachibana(. She only appears in the anime and not in the manga. Hilary is Tyson's classmate, as well as the class president, often frustrated with trying to get Tyson to do his work. As a result, she tends to be very loud, bossy, and over- reactive, but is still intelligent, kindhearted, and unrelentingly stubborn. Although she is not a beyblader, she becomes a member of the Bladebreakers as their manager and coach, and usually works alongside Kenny.
